Mini Cheeseburger Sliders with Melted Mozzarella

Big flavor in a small package — these Mini Cheeseburger Sliders are juicy, cheesy, and impossible to resist. Seasoned beef patties are tucked into soft slider buns with fresh tomato and onion, then blanketed with a thick layer of golden melted mozzarella under the broiler. They’re the ultimate party food, game-day snack, or fun family dinner.

Ingredients

  • 12 slider buns
  • 1½ lbs ground beef
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2 tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

Instructions

  1. Season and shape the patties: In a large bowl, mix the ground beef with garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Divide into 12 equal portions and shape into small patties slightly larger than the slider buns.
  2. Sear the patties: Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Sear the patties for 2–3 minutes per side until browned and cooked through. Transfer to a paper-towel-lined plate to drain.
  3. Assemble the sliders: Preheat the broiler. Split the slider buns and place the bottoms in a baking dish or on a sheet pan. Top each with a patty, a slice of tomato, and a few onion rings.
  4. Melt the cheese under the broiler: Blanket the assembled sliders generously with shredded mozzarella, sprinkle with oregano, and broil for 2–3 minutes until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden. Brush the bun tops with melted butter and toast them briefly alongside.
  5. Serve hot: Place the toasted tops over the cheesy sliders and serve immediately while the mozzarella is hot and gooey.

Tip: To feed a crowd, assemble the sliders in a 9×13-inch baking dish — they hold together neatly and stay warm longer.
