Honey Garlic Butter Salmon

Flaky salmon fillets glazed with a sticky honey-garlic butter, roasted on a sheet pan with tender broccoli and bright lemon slices — this is a complete dinner in one pan and about 25 minutes. Sweet, savory, and just caramelized enough at the edges, it’s the kind of weeknight meal that tastes like a treat.

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz / 170 g each)
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Heat the oven: Preheat to 400°F (200°C). Line a sheet pan with parchment or foil.
  2. Make the glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, honey, garlic, soy sauce, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
  3. Prep the pan: Toss the broccoli with olive oil and a pinch of salt and spread it around the edges of the sheet pan. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the center.
  4. Glaze: Spoon the honey garlic butter generously over each salmon fillet. Lay a lemon slice or two on top of each fillet.
  5. Roast: Bake 12–15 minutes, until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and the glaze is caramelized at the edges. For extra char, broil 1–2 minutes at the end.
  6. Serve: Drizzle any pan juices over the salmon, sprinkle with parsley, and serve straight from the sheet pan.

Pro tip: Pat the salmon dry before glazing — the honey butter clings better to dry fillets and caramelizes instead of steaming.
