Why you’ll love it
- Grill-ready in 20 minutes flat
- The creamy garlic glaze caramelizes beautifully over heat
- Crowd-pleasing appetizer or easy surf-style dinner
Ingredients
- 2 lbs jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined, tails on
- 5 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp sour cream
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice, plus wedges to serve
- 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes (skip if using metal).
- Whisk the melted butter, garlic, mayonnaise, sour cream, lemon juice, Old Bay, paprika, salt, and pepper into a glaze. Reserve 1/3 for drizzling.
- Thread the shrimp onto skewers and brush generously with the glaze.
- Grill over medium-high heat 2–3 minutes per side, brushing with more glaze as they cook.
- Transfer to a platter and drizzle with the reserved glaze.
- Shower with parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
Tips
- Keep the reserved drizzle separate from the basting brush to avoid cross-contamination.
- Don’t overcook — pull the shrimp the moment they curl into a C shape.
- Serve over grilled corn or a crisp salad to make it a meal.
