Honey Mustard Chicken Breast

Honey Mustard Chicken Breast

Crispy outside, juicy inside, and coated in a glossy sweet-and-savory honey garlic glaze — this Honey Mustard Chicken Breast is an air-fryer protein powerhouse. Paired with fluffy herb rice and steamed broccoli, it’s a complete high-protein dinner in about 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 2 large chicken breasts (about 8 oz each)
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 cup cooked rice, tossed with fresh herbs
  • 2 cups steamed broccoli, for serving

Instructions

  1. Marinate: Whisk Dijon, honey, minced garlic, olive oil, paprika, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Coat the chicken breasts and marinate 15-30 minutes (or up to 2 hours refrigerated).
  2. Preheat the air fryer: Heat to 380°F and lightly spray the basket.
  3. Cook: Air fry the chicken 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway, until the outside is caramelized and the internal temperature hits 165°F.
  4. Glaze: Brush the hot chicken with an extra spoonful of the honey-mustard mixture for a glossy finish.
  5. Rest and serve: Rest 5 minutes, then slice against the grain. Serve over herb rice with steamed broccoli.

Pro tip: Pound the breasts to an even thickness before cooking — thin edges dry out long before thick centers finish.
