Hot Honey Chicken Crunch Salad

Crispy chicken, crunchy cabbage, and a sticky-sweet hot honey drizzle — this Hot Honey Chicken Crunch Salad is the salad that eats like a treat. It is bold, fresh, and just spicy enough to keep you coming back for one more bite.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into strips
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 4 cups shredded green cabbage
  • 2 cups chopped romaine lettuce
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup sliced green onions
  • 1/2 cup crispy wonton strips
  • 1/4 cup hot honey
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 1/4 cup ranch dressing, for serving

Instructions

  1. Bread the chicken: Season the chicken strips with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Dredge in flour, dip in beaten egg, then coat in panko.
  2. Crisp the chicken: Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 12–14 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and cooked through. Or pan-fry in hot oil 3–4 minutes per side.
  3. Build the salad base: Toss the cabbage, romaine, carrots, and green onions in a large bowl.
  4. Slice and top: Slice the crispy chicken and arrange it over the salad with the wonton strips.
  5. Finish: Drizzle generously with hot honey, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and serve with ranch dressing on the side.

Pro tip: Warm the hot honey for 10 seconds in the microwave so it drizzles in a thin, even stream instead of clumping on the chicken.
