Juicy pork tenderloin seared until golden and coated in a sticky honey-garlic glaze — sweet, savory, and bursting with flavor in every bite. This is the weeknight showstopper from @osamashealthyrecipes that had everyone commenting PORK for the recipe. Serve it with roasted potatoes or steamed vegetables and watch it disappear.
Why you’ll love them
- The sticky honey-garlic glaze caramelizes right on the meat — no separate sauce pan needed.
- A proper high-protein dinner: roughly 40g of protein per serving from lean pork tenderloin.
- One-pan method: sear on the stove, finish in the oven, rest, slice, done.
- Leftover slices are even better the next day in wraps or over a big salad.
Ingredients
- 1.5 lb (680 g) pork tenderloin
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- ¼ cup honey
- 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tbsp butter
Instructions
- Prep. Pat the tenderloin dry, trim off the silver skin, and season all over with the salt and pepper.
- Sear. Heat the olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the tenderloin 2–3 minutes per side until deep golden.
- Glaze. Whisk the honey, soy sauce, garlic, vinegar, and ginger together. Pour into the skillet, add the butter, and simmer 1–2 minutes until it coats a spoon.
- Roast. Transfer the skillet to a 400°F (200°C) oven. Roast 12–15 minutes, basting once with the glaze, until the internal temperature reads 145°F (63°C).
- Rest & slice. Rest 5 minutes, slice into medallions, and spoon the extra pan glaze over the top.
Tips
- Don’t skip the rest — it lets the juices redistribute so every slice stays moist.
- Use a meat thermometer: 145°F plus a short rest means juicy, never dry.
- Leftover glaze keeps in the fridge for 5 days — incredible drizzled over roasted vegetables.
