Beef & Cheese Stuffed Crescent Swirls

As seen in our latest Instagram reel

Flaky, golden crescent dough wrapped around savory beef and gooey melted cheese — these Beef & Cheese Stuffed Crescent Swirls are the kind of irresistible bites that disappear before they even cool. This is the crowd-pleaser from @homecookingbymadison that had everyone commenting SWIRLS for the recipe. Buttery crescent pastry is rolled with flavorful seasoned beef and cheesy goodness, then baked until beautifully golden and crisp outside with a warm, melty center.

Why you’ll love them

  • The ultimate party bite: savory, cheesy, handheld, and gone in minutes.
  • Store-bought crescent dough means the “hard part” is already done.
  • Seasoned beef plus double cheese makes every swirl rich and satisfying.
  • Endlessly riffable — swap in taco seasoning, pizza fillings, or breakfast sausage.

Ingredients

  • 2½ cans (20 oz total) refrigerated crescent dough
  • 12 oz ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • Warm marinara sauce, for serving

Instructions

  1. Brown. Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat, breaking it up, until browned. Stir in the garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Drain and let cool slightly.
  2. Roll out. Unroll the crescent dough and press the seams together into large rectangles on a floured surface.
  3. Fill. Sprinkle each rectangle with cheddar, spoon over the beef, and roll up tightly from the long side. Chill 15 minutes to firm up for clean slicing.
  4. Slice & bake. Cut into 16 swirls, place cut-side up on a parchment-lined sheet pan, and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 14–16 minutes until deep golden.
  5. Serve. Shower with parsley and serve warm with marinara for dipping.

Tips

  • Chilling the log before slicing is the secret to neat, even swirls.
  • A serrated knife cuts the dough cleanly without squishing the spiral.
  • Don’t skimp on the cheese — the melty center is the whole point.
  • Assemble a day ahead and bake fresh when guests arrive.
