These cheesy pizza pinwheels took off in our latest reel on @huritastyrecipes — soft, golden-baked pizza dough spiraled with rich tomato sauce, gooey mozzarella, and savory pepperoni in every swirl. They disappear from the plate faster than any appetizer we have ever posted.
Why you’ll love it
- All the flavor of pizza, baked into fun bite-size spirals
- Just 6 simple ingredients and 30 minutes start to finish
- Perfect for parties, lunchboxes, and game-day spreads
Ingredients
- 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated pizza dough
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1 1/2 cups shredded low-moisture mozzarella
- 1/2 cup mini pepperoni slices
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- Marinara sauce, for dipping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll the pizza dough into a 12 x 16-inch rectangle on a lightly floured surface.
- Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 1/2-inch border on one long side.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella, mini pepperoni, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder over the sauce.
- Starting from the long edge opposite the bare border, roll the dough up tightly into a log and pinch the seam to seal.
- Slice the log into 12 equal pinwheels and arrange cut-side up on the baking sheet.
- Brush the tops with melted butter and bake 18–20 minutes, until golden and bubbly.
- Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.
Tips
- Chill the rolled log for 15 minutes before slicing for cleaner spirals.
- Swap the pepperoni for cooked sausage, mushrooms, or bell peppers to change it up.
- Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for 4 minutes to re-crisp.
